A supported, non-stop run across the Bavarian Forest - from Waldmünchen to Passau - raising funds to restore coral reefs on the other side of the world.
The Run
The Pandurensteig runs the full length of the Bavarian Forest - 178.6 kilometers of granite ridges, spruce corridors, and river valleys from the Czech border to the Danube.
Bavaria 180 is a supported attempt to cover all of it in a single continuous push, starting at night and finishing in Passau.
No entry fees. No race bibs. A small crew, a camera, and one very long day.

The Story
Portugal 125 was about giving something back to a country that gave me an unforgettable year. Bavaria 180 is about home - the forest I grew up next to, run end to end in one push.
The Bavarian Forest is one of the oldest protected woodlands in Central Europe. Running its full length felt like the most honest way to raise money for an ecosystem that needs the same protection: the reef.

The Cause
Every euro raised by Bavaria 180 goes to the Territory Allies Fund and its partner CONMAR, who restore and protect coral reef habitat with the coastal communities that depend on it.
Reefs cover a fraction of the ocean floor but support a quarter of all marine life. Restoration work is slow, local, and desperately underfunded - exactly the kind of work that benefits from long, stubborn efforts.
100% of donations go to the fund. Travel, crew, and film costs are covered separately by partners and out of pocket.
The Film
A small crew will follow the run from the Czech border to the Danube - through the night sections, the low points, and the finish in Passau.
The film ties the two halves of the story together: a forest in Bavaria and a reef thousands of kilometers away, both worth keeping.
